PCB Designer
Key Responsibilities
Schematic to Layout: Convert electrical schematics into PCB layouts using EDA tools like Altium, Cadence Allegro, PADS, or KiCad
Component Placement: Place components optimally for signal integrity, thermal management, and manufacturability.
Routing: Route traces, power planes, and differential pairs while following design rules for impedance, EMI/EMC, and DFM
Design Rules: Create and follow design rule checks for stack-up, trace width, spacing, vias, and pad sizes
Collaboration: Work with Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Manufacturing teams
Documentation: Generate fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, BOMs, and Gerber files
Prototyping & Testing: Support PCB bring-up, debug, and revise designs based on test results
Standards: Ensure designs meet IPC standards, RoHS, and other compliance requirements
Required Skills
Tools: Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, Mentor PADS, or KiCad
Technical: Knowledge of analog, digital, RF, high-speed design, impedance control, and power integrity
Manufacturing: Understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes, DFM, DFT
Standards: IPC-2221, IPC-610, IPC-A-600
Basics: Reading schematics, component datasheets, and circuit fundamentals
Qualifications
Education: Diploma/B.E/B.Tech in Electronics, EEE, or related field
Experience: 2-5 years depending on role. Freshers with strong portfolio also considered
Soft Skills: Attention to detail, problem solving, communication with cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with HDI boards, RF design, DDR, PCIe, USB 3.0 routing
- Knowledge of thermal simulation and signal integrity tools
- 3D mechanical integration with MCAD tools
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
