We are a preschool in Chandanagar, Hyderabad, looking for caring, responsible and dependable Preschool Caregivers / Classroom Ayahs to support our teachers and children.
This role involves both childcare support and preparation/serving of food for preschool children.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare & Classroom Support
- Assist the Teacher with day-to-day classroom routines.
- Supervise and care for children approximately 2–6 years of age.
- Assist children during meals, snacks and drinking water.
- Help children with toileting, handwashing and personal hygiene as required.
- Comfort and settle children when needed.
- Assist during nap/rest time.
- Support teachers during classroom activities, transitions and play time.
- Help maintain a clean, organized and child-safe classroom.
- Follow all preschool child-safety and hygiene procedures.
- Treat every child with patience, care and respect.
Food Preparation & Serving
- Prepare simple, child-appropriate breakfast, lunch, fruit and snacks according to the preschool's daily menu.
- Follow prescribed portion sizes and food-safety/hygiene practices.
- Prepare food according to the requirements of the preschool.
- Serve food to children safely and hygienically.
- Clean and maintain the kitchen/food-preparation area and utensils used for the children's meals.
- Ensure food and serving areas are kept clean and organized.
- Inform the Centre Directress of any food-related concerns or shortages.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience caring for young children is preferred.
- Preschool, daycare, school ayah or childcare experience is an advantage.
- Experience preparing simple meals for children is preferred.
- Candidates without formal qualifications but with genuine childcare experience are welcome to apply.
- Patient, caring and comfortable working with young children.
- Responsible, punctual and dependable.
- Able to maintain good hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Comfortable performing both childcare and food-preparation responsibilities.
- Able to follow instructions, menus and established preschool procedures.
- Comfortable working as part of a team.

This is a preschool-based role.
The caregiver will be responsible for childcare support, classroom assistance and preparation/serving of food for the preschool children.
The role does not involve household/domestic work for any individual or family.
