We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Manager to lead and oversee the finance and accounting operations of our premium imported marble and tile showroom in Kochi.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in accounting and finance, excellent analytical and leadership skills, and mandatory hands-on experience in import and export accounting, documentation, taxation, and related financial processes.
Candidates with prior experience in the marble, tiles, sanitaryware, building materials, construction, or related industries will be highly preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in Accounts & Finance.
- Mandatory experience in Import & Export accounting and related financial operations.
- Strong working knowledge of import documentation, import-related expenses, customs duties, IGST, landed cost calculation, and reconciliation will be highly preferred.
- Experience in the marble, tiles, sanitaryware, building materials, construction, or related industry will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely financial records.
- Handle and oversee import and export accounting processes, including documentation, import-related expenses, customs duties, IGST, landed cost calculations, and vendor reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial planning.
- Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances.
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, customs authorities, and other regulatory authorities.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor reconciliations.
- Ensure proper inventory accounting and cost control, particularly for imported materials.
- Review asset accounting, depreciation, and financial reconciliations.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for management.
- Identify opportunities for effective tax planning and utilisation of eligible import/export-related benefits and incentives.
- Lead and mentor the accounts team while ensuring timely completion of all financial activities.
- Support management with financial analysis, business insights, and strategic decision-making.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Strong practical knowledge of Import & Export accounting and financial procedures is mandatory.
- Knowledge of import documentation, customs duties, IGST, landed cost calculation, and import-related reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP/Tally Prime, Odoo ERP, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and team management abilities.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) is mandatory.
