Job Description: Engineer (Aluminum Pressure Die Casting)

Position Overview
- Role: Engineer
- Location: Kheda, Gujarat
- Department: Production / Quality Assurance / Maintenance
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in an Aluminum Pressure Die Casting unit
- Education Qualification: Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production / Automobile)
Key Responsibilities & Duties. Machine & Die Operations
- Manage and supervise day-to-day operations of Aluminum Pressure Die Casting (PDC) machines.
- Oversee and assist in die loading and unloading safely and efficiently to minimize production downtime.
- Coordinate and perform basic die maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure smooth, continuous production runs.
2. Quality Control & Inspection
- Take full ownership of Quality Control (QC) on the shop floor for finished casting products.
- Perform thorough dimensional inspections using measuring instruments (Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.) to ensure products match strict drawing specifications.
- Identify casting defects (such as porosity, shrinkage, cracks, or misruns) and implement immediate corrective actions.
3. Shop Floor Management
- Maintain daily production logs, rejection reports, and quality assurance documentation.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols on the shop floor, especially concerning molten aluminum and heavy machinery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or related technical field).
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience specifically within an Aluminum Pressure Die Casting plant. (Note: Experience in PDC is mandatory).
- Strong technical understanding of die setup, die load/unload processes, and casting parameters.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and verifying casting quality and dimensions.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to manage shop-floor operations effectively.
