We operate a 15,000 sq. ft manufacturing facility in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh & are looking for a hands-on Operations Head to lead our factory operations, drive operational excellence, and ensure seamless execution from procurement to customer delivery.
The Operations Head will be responsible for the end-to-end functioning of Sirohi’smanufacturing facility. This role will oversee production planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing, dispatch, and factory administration while leading a team of production staff, warehouse personnel, and artisans. The role requires a leader who enjoys being on the shop floor, solving operational challenges, and building high-performing teams.
Job Description:
The specific responsibilities of the position holder will be (though not restricted to) the following:
● Own end-to-end factory operations, including production planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing, dispatch, and order fulfilment.● Plan and monitor daily production to ensure customer orders are delivered on time while optimizing manpower and resources.● Lead and develop the factory team, including production staff, warehouse personnel, and artisans, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.● Ensure accurate inventory management across raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods while maintaining efficient warehouse operations.● Manage procurement of raw materials, vendor relationships, pricing negotiations, and material availability for uninterrupted production.● Oversee dispatch, packaging, logistics, and documentation to achieve On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance.● Act as the primary interface between Sales, Production, Procurement, Finance, and the artisan community to ensure seamless execution.● Develop SOPs, drive process improvements, ensure safety and factory discipline, and leverage ERP and operational data to improve performance.● Prepare and present MIS reports and operational summaries for leadership review and decision making
● 8+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing or factory operations with hands-on responsibility for production planning (PPC), procurement, inventory, warehousing, and dispatch● Proven experience leading factory teams, including production operators, supervisors, warehouse personnel, and contract workforce.● Strong understanding of production planning, inventory control, procurement, logistics, and operational excellence.● Experience implementing SOPs, driving process improvements, and solving day-to-day operational challenges.● Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.● Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
● Background in manufacturing industries such as furniture, home décor, handicrafts, textiles, pharmaceuticals, engineering, FMCG, or similar manufacturing environments with end-to-end factory operations responsibility.● Experience managing shop-floor operations, production planning (PPC), procurement, inventory, warehousing, and dispatch in a manufacturing setting will be highly preferred.● Retired Armed Forces personnel with relevant industrial operations experience are also encouraged to apply.● Candidates based in Muzaffarnagar or the surrounding manufacturing hubs of Western Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, and the Delhi NCR region, or those willing to relocate, will be preferred● We are an equal opportunity employer and open to all genders, regions and religions
