Responsibilities of Chief Accountant– Memories
1. Daily Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain day-to-day accounts (cash, bank, journal entries)
- Record all sales, purchases, expenses, and receipts
- Ensure proper voucher documentation and filing
2. Receivables & Payables Management
- Track customer payments (project-wise & product-wise)
- Follow up for outstanding receivables
- Manage supplier payments (materials, labor, transport)
- Maintain ageing reports
3. Project-Based Accounting (Very Important)
- Maintain costing for each project/site
- Track:
- Material cost (stone, pebbles, etc.)
- Labour cost
- Transport & logistics
- Prepare project profitability reports
4. Inventory & Stores Coordination
- Coordinate with stores for:
- Stock entries (inward/outward)
- Material consumption tracking
- Maintain stock valuation reports
5. Banking & Cash Management
- Handle bank transactions & reconciliations
- Monitor cash flow position
- Ensure proper cash handling controls
6. Financial Reporting
- Prepare in Tally Prime :
- Monthly Trial Balance
- Profit & Loss Statement
- Balance Sheet
- Provide management reports for decision-making
7. GST & Statutory Compliance (India)
- Prepare & file:
- GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B)
- Ensure tax compliance & documentation
- Coordinate with auditors / CA
8. Payroll & HR Support
- Process salary, wages, and contractor payments
- Maintain attendance & leave records (if required)
- Ensure statutory compliance (PF/ESI if applicable)
9. Documentation & Audit Support
- Maintain proper financial records and files
- Support internal & external audits
- Ensure compliance with company policies
10. Cost Control & Business Support
- Identify cost-saving opportunities
- Support pricing decisions for:
- Landscaping projects
- Product sales (kalvilakku, stone items)
- Assist management in budgeting & forecasting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
