About the Role
We are expanding our manufacturing capacity and hiring an experienced VMC Operator to join our precision machining team. The role involves operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) for precision machine components used in heavy paper converting and rewinder machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Operate VMC machines featuring Fanuc controllers smoothly and safely during shifts.
- Job Setup & Tooling: Perform job mounting, workpiece clamping, tool loading, tool length offset setting, and work coordinate (WCS) origin setup.
- Quality & Dimensional Inspection: Conduct self-inspection of machined components using Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges as per engineering drawing tolerances.
- Troubleshooting: Monitor machining operations, tool wear, coolant levels, and report drawing or program anomalies to the team lead.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience running VMC machines in an engineering or fabrication workshop.
- Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of engineering drawings, geometrical tolerances, cutting parameters, and tool selection (end mills, drills, inserts).
- Bonus Skill: Candidates who can write or edit basic Fanuc manual programs (G-codes / M-codes) at the machine interface will be eligible for the upper salary tier.
- Education: ITI Machinist / Turner / Mechanical Diploma preferred (relevant practical experience is prioritized).
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
