Job Opening – Quality Inspector (Fabrication Industry)
About the Role
Fabmax Enterprises is hiring a Quality Control Engineer to oversee inspection and compliance across fabrication projects. The candidate will ensure strict adherence to ISO 9001:2015, ASME, while maintaining audit‑ready documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional checks on fabricated components as per GA drawings and client specifications.
- Conduct welding quality inspections (FCAW, GTAW, SAW) including in‑process checks and WPS/PQR compliance.
- Supervise in‑process inspections during fabrication and assembly stages.
- Carry out painting inspections (surface preparation, primer, final coat, DFT measurement).
- Monitor blasting inspections (surface cleanliness, profile, and compliance with standards).
- Ensure material traceability, CAPA implementation, and audit documentation.
- Coordinate with shop supervisors, client inspectors, and third‑party agencies for approvals.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering.
- 5–8 years QA/QC experience in fabrication/manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of structural fabrication, ducting, chimney stacks, tanks, silos.
- Hands‑on experience with dimensional, welding, blasting, and painting inspections.
- Familiarity with ISO audits and compliance systems.
- NDT Level II certification preferred.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
