Job description:
We are looking for a skilled and versatile WordPress Developer to join our team. You will be responsible for managing and executing end-to-end WordPress projects that involve both frontend and backend development. The ideal candidate should have experience working on custom themes, plugin development, and complex API integrations, with a solid understanding of modern web development best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain responsive WordPress websites from scratch or based on existing designs.
- Create, customize, and maintain themes and plugins as per project requirements.
- Work on backend logic, database queries, and server-side optimizations.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services with WordPress.
- Debug, test, and optimize websites for performance, speed, and scalability.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Ensure code quality, documentation, and adherence to development best practices.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing WordPress websites and applications.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in WordPress core, theme development, and plugin development.
- Proficient in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery.
- Familiar with REST APIs, AJAX, and JSON.
- Hands-on experience with ACF, Elementor, WooCommerce, and other common plugins.
- Comfortable working with custom post types, taxonomies, and hooks/filters.
- Understanding of version control systems (Git) and modern build tools.
- Knowledge of website performance optimization and security best practices.
- Familiarity with headless WordPress, Gutenberg, or React is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 Years Minimum
- Prior experience working in an agency or on large-scale WordPress implementations.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
