About the Role
The Area Sales Officer is a field-first, execution role. Your day starts at the first retail counter and ends with every visit, order, and lead logged in CRM before 7 PM. You are the face of Vansh Homes to hundreds of kitchen appliance dealers across Bangalore — responsible for activating new dealers, collecting orders, deploying brand visibility materials, and ensuring collections stay on track. Key Responsibilities
Daily Field Execution
- Conduct 20–25 retail counter visits per day across your assigned Bangalore territory — every visit logged in CRM with GPS timestamp
- Deliver product demonstrations at 5+ counters daily — show product features, handle objections, leave the retailer informed and interested
- Identify 2–3 new dealer prospects per day — qualify, introduce Vansh Homes, and initiate onboarding process
- Collect 8–10 purchase orders per day from active dealers — cash, cheque, or credit as per approved terms
- Collect field payments from dealers where possible; flag all overdue accounts to the RSM same day
Dealer Onboarding & Activation
- Onboard new dealers end-to-end: collect KYC documents, set up first stock delivery, explain scheme and pricing, get first order placed within 3 days of sign-up
- Follow up on all newly onboarded dealers within 7 days to confirm stock received, shelf placed, and reorder discussed
- Classify new dealers into Tier A / B / C based on potential; report classification to RSM for engagement planning
- Drive repeat ordering — track which dealers from Month 1 are still active and follow up on lapsed accounts immediately
Retail Visibility & Branding
- Deploy branding materials (shelf strips, counter mats, demo kits, catalogues) at every counter visit — carry materials daily
- Coordinate with RSM for glow sign installation at Tier A counters; confirm vendor installation within 5 days of approval
- Conduct retail audit at 10+ counters per day: photograph shelf placement, branding visibility, competitor presence; upload same day
- Flag counters where branding is damaged, missing, or competitor-dominated; escalate to RSM for priority deployment
Collections Support
- Collect field payments from dealers on every visit — log amount, payment mode, and invoice reference in CRM same day
- Remind all dealers with outstanding >15 days on every visit; escalate to RSM if dealer refuses to pay or disputes invoice
- Ensure personal territory collections rate stays above 80%; personal incentive is linked to collections, not just billing
CRM & Reporting
- Log every visit, order, lead, and collection in CRM before 7 PM same day — no backlogs, no batch entries
- Submit weekly visit summary to RSM every Friday: total visits, orders, new dealers, collections, open issues
- Share market intelligence on Bangalore trade: competitor pricing, new product launches, dealer feedback, any territory risks

What We Are Looking For
Mandatory
- 1–4 years of field sales experience — FMCG, consumer durables, kitchen appliances, hardware, or general trade
- Comfortable with 20–25 counter visits per day on foot and by two-wheeler across the city
- Proficiency in CRM data entry — all visits must be logged same day, every day
- Basic familiarity with trade terms: credit days, purchase orders, invoice reconciliation
- Valid two-wheeler licence and own vehicle preferred (fuel reimbursement provided)
Strongly Preferred
- Prior dealer activation experience in Bangalore — existing relationships with kitchen, hardware, or home goods retailers
- Experience in kitchen appliances, cookware, or LPG accessories category
- Kannada language proficiency strongly preferred for effective dealer communication in local markets
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Zoho, LeadSquared, or equivalent)
