Role Purpose
Ensure all sheet metal products meet customer, regulatory, and ISO/TS16949 requirements through process control, defect prevention, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process & Product Quality – Sheet Metal
- Monitor sheet metal manufacturing processes: shearing, punching, bending, welding, assembly
- Conduct in-process, final, and incoming inspection as per control plan
- Verify first article and support process capability studies
2.Quality Systems & Documentation
- Maintain and implement ISO 9001 and TS 16949 / IATF 16949 requirements
- Prepare and approve PPAP documents: Control Plan, FMEA, MSA, SPC charts
- Lead CAPA, 8D, and Root Cause Analysis for customer complaints and internal NCRs
- Use 7 QC Tools, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S for continuous improvement projects
3. Powder Coating Process Control
- Monitor pre-treatment, phosphating, powder application, and curing parameters
- Control coating thickness, adhesion, salt spray, and appearance defects
- Ensure process meets customer specs and prevent rework/scrap
4. Customer & Compliance Coordination
- Handle customer visits, audits, and quality-related communication
- Respond to customer complaints with 8D reports within TAT
- Coordinate with Production, PPC, and Design to close quality gaps
5. Data & Reporting
- Maintain quality records, MIS, and KPI dashboards in MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Track PPM, First Pass Yield, Scrap %, and Cost of Poor Quality
- Conduct internal audits and ensure shop floor compliance to SOPs and 5S
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
