Job description
Design, synthesize, and characterize advanced materials for environmental remediation.
Develop adsorbents, membranes, hydrogels, nanocomposites, and bio-based materials for water and wastewater treatment.
Assess material performance for removing heavy metals, dyes, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, and emerging contaminants.
Develop and optimize laboratory-scale treatment systems. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary researchers and industry partners.
Publish in high-impact journals and present at national/international conferences.
Mentor postgraduate and doctoral students and contribute to funded research projects.

Essential Skills
Strong background in environmental engineering, separation processes, materials science, and electrochemistry.
Publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals related to environmental remediation, membrane technology, adsorption, nanomaterials, wastewater treatment, or sustainable materials.
Experience in material synthesis (hydrothermal, sol-gel, coprecipitation, polymer-based methods).
Proficiency in characterization techniques including SEM, TEM, XRD, FTIR, BET, XPS, TGA/DSC, UV–Vis, HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, ICP-OES/ICP-MS, and zeta potential analysis.
Hands-on experience in membrane fabrication, adsorption, photocatalysis, bioremediation, and process development.
Strong scientific writing, data analysis, and communication skills.
Eligibility
PhD in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Biotechnology, or related fields.
Candidates with a PhD in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Materials Science, or Biotechnology (with relevant Master’s specialization) may also be considered if they have expertise in water/wastewater treatment, membrane technology, adsorption, nanomaterials, hydrogels, biochar, algae-based remediation, or advanced oxidation processes.
