Assistant Manager – Operations
About the Role
Northstar is seeking a highly driven Assistant Manager – Operations to support the execution and scaling of our India operations. This role will work closely with the Operations Head to coordinate field deployments, manage operational workflows, oversee logistics, and ensure high-quality execution across multiple locations.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, execution-focused, comfortable working in fast-paced environments, and capable of managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Execution
* Support day-to-day operational activities across deployment sites.
* Coordinate field teams, contractors, and operational partners to ensure timely execution.
* Track operational targets, deployment schedules, and project milestones.
* Assist in implementing and improving SOPs across operations.
Deployment Coordination
* Support large-scale deployments across industrial, manufacturing, and commercial environments.
* Coordinate site readiness, workforce allocation, and deployment logistics.
* Monitor field activities and ensure adherence to operational standards.
* Escalate and resolve operational challenges proactively.
Data Collection & Quality Control
* Monitor data collection activities and ensure compliance with quality standards.
* Track operational KPIs including:
* Deployment completion rates
* Data quality metrics
* Workforce productivity
* Equipment utilization
* QA compliance
* Coordinate with technical teams for data uploads, troubleshooting, and workflow management.
Logistics & Asset Management
* Manage inventory records for recording hardware and operational equipment.
* Coordinate device allocation, tracking, maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
* Support procurement and vendor coordination activities.
* Ensure efficient movement of equipment across deployment locations.
Vendor & Facility Coordination
* Build and maintain relationships with operational partners and facility stakeholders.
* Support onboarding of new deployment sites and partners.
* Assist in scheduling site visits, audits, and operational reviews.
* Coordinate documentation and operational agreements as required.
Team Support & Administration
* Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training field operations personnel.
* Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance of field teams.
* Support implementation of incentive and performance tracking systems.
* Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and operational excellence.
Requirements
* 3–6 years of experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, industrial operations, project coordination, or field execution.
* Experience managing field teams, contractors, or multi-location operations.
* Strong organizational and coordination skills.
* Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and operational reporting tools.
* Ability to multitask and work effectively under tight timelines.
* Willingness to travel extensively across India.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Problem-solving mindset with a high level of ownership.

Pay: ₹15,160.36 - ₹58,344.12 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Bhubaneswar, Orissa (Bhubaneswar): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
