About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Travel Operations Manager with 5+ years of experience in the travel and tourism industry. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of tour packages, DMC operations, destinations, travel costing, and end-to-end tour operations, along with excellent communication and business development skills.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and oversee day-to-day travel and tour operations.
· Design and develop customized domestic and international tour packages.
· Prepare detailed itineraries based on client requirements, budget, and preferences.
· Have strong knowledge of DMCs (Destination Management Companies) and their services, including hotels, transfers, sightseeing, activities, guides, and other destination-related arrangements.
· Maintain and develop strong relationships with DMCs, hotels, transport providers, suppliers, and travel partners.
· Have comprehensive knowledge of major domestic and international destinations, including attractions, hotels, activities, transportation, seasonality, and travel requirements.
· Prepare accurate tour costing including accommodation, transfers, sightseeing, meals, activities, flights, taxes, service charges, and other applicable costs.
· Negotiate with DMCs and vendors to obtain competitive rates and maximize profitability.
· Review and optimize package costing and pricing before sharing quotations with clients.
· Develop and implement effective business development strategies to generate new leads and business opportunities.
· Handle travel enquiries, prepare quotations, follow up with clients, and support conversion.
· Coordinate the complete tour execution process from booking confirmation to trip completion.
· Resolve operational issues and customer concerns efficiently.
· Monitor vendor performance and ensure quality service delivery.
· Stay updated with new destinations, tourism trends, travel regulations, visa requirements, hotel rates, and DMC offerings.
· Maintain accurate records of bookings, quotations, costing, payments, and operational details.
· Monitor sales and operational performance and work towards achieving business targets.
Required Skills
· 5+ years of experience in Travel & Tourism, Tour Operations, Travel Agency, DMC, or a related industry.
· Strong knowledge of tour package designing and itinerary planning.
· Excellent understanding of DMCs and destination services.
· Strong knowledge of domestic and international destinations.
· Expertise in tour costing, quotation preparation, pricing, and profit-margin calculation.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong business development and client-handling skills.
· Good negotiation and vendor-management skills.
· Strong knowledge of hotels, transfers, sightseeing, activities, flights, and other travel components.
· Excellent coordination and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
· Strong leadership and team-management skills.
· Target-oriented and commercially focused approach.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, or any relevant field preferred.
Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have end-to-end knowledge of the travel business, from understanding destinations and DMCs to designing tour packages, preparing accurate costing, handling clients, negotiating with suppliers, and executing tours successfully. The candidate should also be capable of contributing to business growth through effective business development strategies.
Pay: ₹420,000.00 - ₹540,000.00 per year
