About Huevara
Huevara is a US-focused digital textile printing platform offering premium custom printing across fabrics, photography backdrops, wallpaper, curtains, bedding, apparel, upholstery, and other textile-based products.
Customers can select artwork from Huevara’s growing design library or provide their own artwork for printing. Production is managed in India, with completed orders shipped directly to customers in the United States.
We are building Huevara from the ground up and are looking for someone who is excited to grow with an early-stage brand.
About the Role
We are hiring an organized and creative E-commerce Operations & Social Media Associate to manage Huevara’s day-to-day order operations, social media activity, customer communication, and pre-dispatch quality checks.
This is not a standard social media position. On the same day, you may create Pinterest content, update Shopify orders, communicate with the production team, inspect a printed fabric order, and respond to a customer inquiry.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable using digital tools, interested in design and textiles, and eager to learn AI-powered tools.
Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media and Content
- Manage Huevara’s presence on Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook.
- Create and schedule Pinterest pins, Instagram posts, reels, stories, and short-form videos.
- Maintain and organize Pinterest boards for products, design inspiration, home décor, sewing, quilting, and photography backdrops.
- Write clear, keyword-focused captions and product descriptions.
- Respond to comments, direct messages, and customer questions.
- Monitor social media performance and identify high-performing content.
- Prepare a weekly summary of top-performing posts and content ideas.
- Repurpose suitable content across different platforms.
Pinterest and Instagram will be the primary platforms and will require regular daily activity.
Shopify and Order Operations
- Check new Shopify orders every working day.
- Verify customer, product, artwork, fabric, quantity, and delivery information.
- Send confirmed orders to the production team in the correct format.
- Track each order from confirmation through printing, quality checking, dispatch, and delivery.
- Update order notes, production status, and tracking information in Shopify.
- Follow up with the production team regarding pending or delayed orders.
- Immediately report incorrect, damaged, or delayed orders to the business owner.
- Prepare a weekly order report covering new, in-production, dispatched, delivered, and exception orders.
Training and written standard operating procedures will be provided.
Quality Control
- Visit the production facility when orders are ready for dispatch.
- Compare printed products with the approved design and order specifications.
- Check print colour, alignment, clarity, fabric condition, material type, and ordered quantity.
- Inspect folding, wrapping, inserts, stickers, packaging, and mailer condition.
- Photograph and report any quality issue before dispatch.
- Prevent failed or incorrect orders from being shipped.
- Maintain a clear record of quality-control issues.
Quality checks generally take approximately 5–10 minutes per order.
Customer Communication
- Respond professionally to customer emails and social media messages.
- Provide accurate updates about order status, production, dispatch, and tracking.
- Use approved templates and escalation procedures.
- Record customer complaints or recurring questions.
- Escalate refunds, replacements, delivery problems, and quality issues to the business owner.
AI and Digital Tools
The selected candidate will be expected to learn and use tools such as:
- ChatGPT or Claude for captions, descriptions, emails, and content ideas
- Canva for social media graphics and image resizing
- Shopify for order management
- Pinterest Trends and Google Trends for content research
- Later or Buffer for scheduling
- Basic AI image tools for lifestyle mock-ups
- Google Sheets, Gmail, WhatsApp, and shared documents
Previous AI experience is helpful but not required. Curiosity and willingness to learn are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Comfortable communicating with customers in English.
- Basic knowledge of Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, and other social platforms.
- Familiarity with email, WhatsApp, Google Sheets, and online dashboards.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable home workspace.
- Ability to follow written processes and checklists.
- Ability to visit the production facility for quality inspections when required.
- Interest in fabric printing, design, home décor, fashion, sewing, quilting, crafts, or photography.
- Willingness to learn Shopify, Canva, AI tools, and new software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and report problems promptly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing social media for a business, creator, or personal brand.
- Experience using Canva.
- Basic experience with Shopify or another e-commerce platform.
- Basic photo or video-editing skills.
- Experience creating reels, short videos, or Pinterest pins.
- Previous work in e-commerce operations, order management, production coordination, or quality control.
- Personal interest in sewing, quilting, crafts, fashion, interiors, or textile design.
- Previous use of ChatGPT or another AI tool for work.
A formal marketing, graphic-design, or business degree is not required. Practical ability, reliability, communication, curiosity, and initiative are more important.
Typical Working Day
A normal working day may include:
- Checking overnight emails, WhatsApp messages, and new Shopify orders
- Sending confirmed orders to production
- Creating Pinterest pins and Instagram content
- Scheduling social media posts
- Visiting the production facility for quality checks
- Following up on production and dispatch status
- Responding to customer emails and direct messages
- Creating short-form TikTok or YouTube content
- Reviewing analytics and planning future content
- Sending an end-of-day update to the business owner
The balance of tasks may change depending on order volume and production requirements.
