Dental Insurance Verification & Billing Specialist (Remote)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Dental Insurance Verification & Billing Specialist to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with US dental practices, verifying dental insurance eligibility and benefits, processing claims, following up on unpaid claims, and ensuring accurate billing. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
* Verify patients’ dental insurance eligibility and benefits.
* Contact insurance companies to confirm coverage, deductibles, co-pays, waiting periods, and limitations.
* Submit, track, and follow up on dental insurance claims.
* Review and resolve denied or rejected claims.
* Post insurance payments and patient payments accurately.
* Work with dental offices to resolve billing discrepancies.
* Maintain accurate patient insurance records.
* Communicate professionally with insurance providers, patients, and dental office staff.
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA and insurance regulations.
* Perform other administrative and billing duties as assigned.
Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in dental insurance verification and dental billing.
* Experience working with US dental practices is required.
* Strong knowledge of PPO, HMO, Medicaid, and other US dental insurance plans.
* Experience submitting and following up on dental insurance claims.
* Familiarity with CDT dental procedure codes and dental billing processes.
* Excellent English communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
* Reliable computer, stable high-speed internet, headset, and a quiet workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience using dental practice management software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Curve Dental, or similar systems.
* Knowledge of dental terminology and treatment plans.
Work Schedule
* Remote position
* 6 days per week
* Working hours: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM CST
* Applicants must be available to work this schedule consistently.
Compensation
* Competitive salary based on experience.
