Position
B.Tech Civil Engineer – Road Construction
Experience Required
Minimum 5–10 Years of proven experience in road and highway construction projects.
Educational Qualification
* B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
* Additional certifications in Highway Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Project Management will be an added advantage.
Preferred Experience
Candidates must have hands-on experience executing Government road projects under departments such as:
* PWD (Public Works Department)
* PMGSY (Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana)
* NHIDCL (National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited)
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, execute, and supervise road construction projects from commencement to completion.
* Ensure quality control as per MoRTH, IRC, and departmental specifications.
* Prepare and verify measurements, BOQs, DPRs, running account bills, and final bills.
* Maintain project documentation, daily progress reports, and technical records.
* Coordinate with Government departments, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
* Monitor work progress, manpower, machinery, and material utilization.
* Ensure compliance with project timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
* Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues during execution.
* Manage subcontractors and ensure timely completion of assigned works.
* Prepare project schedules and monitor progress using modern project management techniques.
Technical Skills
* Strong knowledge of road construction methodologies, including:
* Earthwork
* GSB
* WMM
* CTB
* DBM
* BC
* Concrete Roads
* Experience in estimation, quantity surveying, billing, and project execution.
* Proficiency in:
* AutoCAD
* MS Excel
* MS Project/Primavera (Preferred)
* Total Station/Survey Equipment
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Candidate Profile
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
* Capable of handling multiple project sites independently.
* Willingness to travel and work at remote project locations across the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under project deadlines.
