Key Responsibilities:
Costing & Estimation
- Prepare detailed product costing based on mechanical drawings and specifications
- Estimate manufacturing costs including raw materials, fabrication, machining, welding, finishing, consumables,
labour, and overheads
- Maintain updated costing sheets for MS, SS, Aluminium, and other industrial materials
- Prepare comparative costing reports for management review
- Support sales and management teams with accurate and competitive quotations
BOM & Technical Documentation
- Prepare and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials) and BOQ (Bill of Quantities)
- Develop standard process routings for manufacturing operations
- Review and interpret mechanical drawings for costing and production planning
- Create or review technical drawings using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
Manufacturing & Process Coordination
- Coordinate with production, purchase, and quality departments for cost feasibility
- Monitor actual manufacturing costs versus estimated costs and identify variances
- Improve material utilization and reduce wastage in fabrication and machining processes
- Analyze cycle times and support process optimization initiatives
- Provide technical costing support for new product development (NPD)
Vendor & Inventory Management
- Identify and develop vendors/subcontractors for machining, fabrication, and raw material procurement
- Evaluate vendor pricing and maintain cost competitiveness
- Monitor inventory valuation and identify slow-moving or high-value stock
- Support procurement decisions through technical and commercial analysis
Reporting & Analysis
- Generate costing MIS reports and profitability analysis
- Provide actionable cost insights to management for pricing and operational decisions
- Maintain proper documentation of cost sheets, BOMs, and technical records
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of fabrication and machine shop operations
- Good understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes
- Excellent knowledge of BOM, BOQ, and costing calculations
- Strong understanding of MS, SS, Aluminium, welding consumables, and machining processes
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings accurately
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good negotiation and vendor management capabilities
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
