Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Linux & Windows Administrator with hands-on experience in managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows server environments. The ideal candidate should have expertise in server administration, Active Directory, virtualization, patch management, security, backup, and performance optimization while ensuring high system availability and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Linux and Windows servers.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server services.
- Create and manage user accounts, permissions, security groups, and access controls.
- Monitor server performance, system health, storage utilization, and capacity planning.
- Perform troubleshooting for server, OS, hardware, and application-related issues.
- Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, or Nutanix.
- Configure and maintain file servers, print servers, and shared resources.
- Implement server hardening, security policies, antivirus, and vulnerability remediation.
- Perform backup and recovery using enterprise backup solutions.
- Configure and troubleshoot networking components including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using Shell scripting, PowerShell, or Python.
- Support disaster recovery activities and maintain high availability of critical systems.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and change management records.
- Coordinate with application, network, and security teams for infrastructure support.
- Provide L2/L3 support and participate in on-call support when required.
Required SkillsLinux Administration
- Hands-on experience with RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or SUSE.
- User, group, and permission management.
- LVM, file system management, RAID concepts.
- Package management (YUM, DNF, APT).
- Systemd services, cron jobs, SSH, NFS, Samba.
- Shell scripting for automation.
- Linux performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
Windows Administration
- Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 Administration.
- Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS).
- Group Policy Management.
- DNS, DHCP, DFS, File Server Management.
- Windows Update Services (WSUS).
- PowerShell scripting.
- IIS administration (preferred).
Infrastructure & Virtualization
- VMware vSphere/ESXi or Hyper-V administration.
- Server provisioning and resource allocation.
- Backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Storage concepts (SAN/NAS).
Networking
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
- VPN and Firewall basics.
- Network troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, SolarWinds, or PRTG.
- Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform is an added advantage.
- ITIL process knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE, Microsoft Certified (Windows Server/Azure), VMware VCP, or equivalent are preferred.
Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in Linux and Windows Server Administration.
- Experience supporting enterprise production environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
