Job Summary:
The Store Assistant is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials and packaging items required for bakery production. The role ensures proper inventory control, hygiene standards, and timely supply of materials to support uninterrupted production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
- Receive raw materials (flour, sugar, butter, yeast, etc.) and verify quantity & quality
- Maintain proper stock records (manual or software)
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excess
Storage & Handling
- Ensure proper storage conditions (temperature, cleanliness, FIFO/FEFO method)
- Organize materials systematically for easy access
- Handle materials carefully to avoid damage or wastage
Issuance of Materials
- Issue ingredients and packaging materials to production as per request
- Maintain daily stock movement records
Documentation
- Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note), stock registers, and issue logs
- Assist in stock audits and physical verification
Coordination
- Coordinate with purchase and production teams
- Support smooth production by ensuring timely availability of materials
Requirements:
Education: Minimum Degree preferred
Experience: 1 year in storekeeping
Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge (Excel/software)
