Key Responsibilities
· Maintenance & Inspection:
- Conduct routine and scheduled maintenance of fire extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers, alarms, and detection systems.
- Perform detailed inspections to identify faults, leaks, corrosion, or expired components.
- Test equipment functionality according to manufacturer standards and regulatory requirements.
· Technical Operations:
- Troubleshoot and repair minor faults in fire safety systems.
- Install or replace fire safety system components as required.
- Operate testing instruments and tools safely and effectively.
· Client Service & Compliance:
- Interact with clients to explain inspection findings and maintenance activities.
- Educate clients on correct fire equipment usage and safety protocols.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant Indian and international fire safety standards and local regulations.
· Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and inventory logs.
- Prepare and submit compliance documentation as required by management or authorities.
-Report any major defects or hazards immediately to supervisors.
Required Qualifications
· Education: ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Fire & Safety Engineering, or equivalent.
· Certifications: Valid certification in fire safety or fire equipment maintenance (e.g., from BIS, NFPA, or local fire authority).
· Exposure to varying weather conditions and environments (indoor, outdoor, industrial, commercial).
