We are looking for a sharp, analytical, and user-centric Product Specialist (Research & Analysis) to drive our Product Discovery engine. Your primary responsibility is to bridge the gap between high-level product strategy and granular execution.
You will own two critical functions: dissecting complex products and competitor ecosystems down to their atomic features (Feature Breakdown Analysis), and obsessively studying how users interact with software (User Behavior Research). Your insights will directly de-risk the product roadmap, ensuring every feature built is backed by behavioral data and structural logic.
-
Granular Architecture Mapping: Deconstruct complex, ambiguous product concepts, workflows, and competitor platforms into granular feature sets, functional components, and logic flows.
-
Gap & Dependency Analysis: Analyze existing feature sets to identify performance bottlenecks, UX friction points, and technical or functional dependencies before development begins.
-
PRD & Spec Groundwork: Translate abstract discovery findings into structured feature teardowns, mapping out user journeys, edge cases, and functional specifications to assist the core Product team.
-
Behavioral Data Analysis: Monitor, analyze, and interpret product usage patterns using analytics platforms to identify drop-off points, feature adoption rates, and power-user paths.
-
Qualitative Validation: Conduct user interviews, contextual inquiries, and usability testing to understand the "why" behind user data, transforming subjective feedback into objective, actionable insights.
-
Triangulation: Constantly cross-reference qualitative observations (what users say) with quantitative product telemetry (what users actually do) to build high-fidelity user personas and journey maps.
-
Hypothesis Formulation: Define clear, testable hypotheses for new features or optimizations based on behavior gaps and feature analysis.
-
Lean Prototyping Support: Partner with UX/UI designers to build low-fidelity wireframes, interactive prototypes, or user flows to validate feature concepts with real users rapidly.
-
Opportunity Mapping: Maintain a structured repository of discovery insights (e.g., Opportunity Solution Trees) to ensure the backlog is consistently fueled by validated data.
Experience: 3+ years in Product Management, Product Analysis, Business Analysis, or UX Research, with a heavy emphasis on modern discovery frameworks (e.g., Dual-Track Agile, Continuous Discovery).-
Analytical Toolkit: Proficiency with behavioral product analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, Heap, or Hotjar) and the ability to leverage data to tell a compelling story.
-
First-Principles Thinking: A proven ability to look at a complex system or a competitor's app and methodically break down its mechanics, monetization loops, and user flows.
-
Empathetic Interviewing: Strong qualitative research skills, with a track record of running unbiased user interviews and synthesizing hours of conversations into concise takeaways.
-
Agile Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to effectively relay granular feature breakdowns to engineering teams and strategic discovery insights to leadership.
