Job Summary
The area service manager is responsible for managing and overseeing repair and service operations across assigned service centers or territories. The role includes ensuring customer satisfaction, achieving service KPIs, handling field service teams, monitoring spare parts management, and maintaining operational efficiency in authorized service centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of assigned service centers and field service teams.
- Ensure timely repair and service completion as per company standards.
- Monitor service quality, turnaround time (TAT), and customer satisfaction levels.
- Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure proper resolution.
- Supervise service engineers, technicians, and support staff within the assigned area.
- Track productivity and performance of service teams.
- Ensure availability and proper utilization of spare parts and tools.
- Conduct regular audits of service centers for operational compliance.
- Maintain service reports, MIS reports, and operational records.
- Coordinate with sales, logistics, and technical support teams for smooth operations.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and service procedures.
- Train and guide service staff on technical and customer handling skills.
- Monitor warranty claim processing and service documentation.
- Support expansion and development of authorized service centers in the assigned territory.

Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in repair and service operations.
- Experience in home appliances, consumer electronics, or authorized service center operations preferred.
- Experience in managing multiple service centers or field teams is an added advantage.
