Role Overview
The Director – Fundraising will lead Sol’s ARC’s resource mobilization strategy to ensure sustainable, diversified, long-term funding. This senior leadership role will focus on building a strong fundraising pipeline, securing partnerships with CSR, foundations, HNIs and international agencies, and ensuring high-quality proposal development, budgeting, and compliance systems. The role requires a strategic leader who can consistently convert opportunities into funding through disciplined planning, strong writing, and rigorous follow-through.

Key Responsibilities
1) Fundraising Strategy & Execution
-
Develop and drive a 3–5 year fundraising strategy aligned to Sol’s ARC’s mission and growth goals

Build and manage a diversified pipeline across CSR, philanthropic foundations, HNIs, and international donors
-
Identify opportunities, respond to RFPs, and drive conversion of leads into partnerships
-
Secure multi-year partnerships to strengthen financial sustainability
-
Plan and execute fundraising events/roundtables to grow donor interest and pipeline
2) Proposal Development & Budgeting
-
Lead development of concept notes, proposals, and donor presentations with Program and Communications teams
-
Ensure proposals are evidence-led and aligned with donor priorities and Sol’s ARC’s program strengths
-
Lead budget development with Finance to ensure budgets are realistic, program-aligned, and compliant
-
Maintain quality standards across all submissions (structure, logic, costing, annexures, and timelines)
3) Systems & Compliance

Establish strong systems for tracking pipeline, submissions, commitments, and renewals
-
Maintain a submission and reporting calendar to ensure zero missed deadlines
-
Ensure compliance with donor contracts, CSR norms, FCRA, and statutory requirements
-
Provide fundraising forecasts and periodic pipeline reports to leadership and Board

Ensure documentation and grant management processes are audit-ready and consistently maintained
4) Leadership & Collaboration

Build and lead the fundraising team (mentoring, performance oversight, capacity building)

Coordinate closely with Programs, M&E and Finance teams to ensure proposal readiness and reporting discipline

Represent Sol’s ARC in external forums and donor meetings as required for pipeline conversion
Required Qualifications & Experience
-
Master’s degree in Development Studies, Social Work, Business Administration, Communications, or related field
-
Minimum 12–15 years of progressive experience in fundraising/resource mobilization, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role

Proven track record of raising multi-crore, multi-year partnerships
-
Strong network with corporates, foundations, HNIs, and global donors

Excellent written and verbal communication (pitching, negotiation, proposal writing)

Strong understanding of India’s CSR ecosystem, donor compliance frameworks, and FCRA regulations
