Job Summary
The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the complete manufacturing operations of the plant, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve production goals.
- Develop and implement production plans to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Optimize plant productivity, efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Monitor and improve manufacturing processes through Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and operational efficiency.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize machine downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
- Coordinate effectively with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Stores, and Dispatch teams.
- Monitor production KPIs and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Lead, motivate, train, and develop plant employees to build a high-performance culture.
- Manage manpower planning, workforce productivity, and resource utilization.
- Identify operational challenges and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Support new product development and production process improvements.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA in Operations or Production Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 8–15 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Plant Manager or similar leadership role.
- Experience in Footwear, Sports Goods, Leather Goods, Apparel, or Consumer Products Manufacturing will be preferred.
Pay: ₹19,826.13 - ₹60,000.00 per month
