Job Purpose
To manage day-to-day procurement activities and ensure required materials are available on time, at the required quality and at competitive prices.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive material requirements from production, stores and other departments.
- Identify suitable suppliers and obtain quotations.
- Compare quotations based on price, quality, delivery time and payment terms.
- Negotiate with suppliers wherever required and within approved authority.
- Prepare and process purchase orders.
- Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with stores and production regarding material receipt and shortages.
- Maintain supplier records, quotations, purchase orders and related documentation.
- Monitor pending purchase orders and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate regarding material shortages, quality issues and replacement requirements.
- Develop and maintain a database of existing and potential suppliers.
- Assist in supplier evaluation and performance tracking.
- Support cost-control initiatives and identify opportunities for better procurement rates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement or a similar role.
- Good knowledge of purchasing and procurement processes.
- Good communication, negotiation and supplier coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
- Experience with ERP / purchase management software will be an advantage.
- Strong follow-up, organizational and documentation skills.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
