About the Practice:-
SC&H’s Enterprise Advisory & Transformation Practice is a recognized leader in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) implementation services across the Mid-Atlantic region. Our team partners with CFOs, Controllers, and Finance executives to drive meaningful transformation through the implementation of Oracle’s EPM cloud platform. Continued growth in client demand is creating exciting opportunities for motivated, experienced professionals at both the Manager and Senior Manager levels.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle EPM Manager or Senior Manager to join our growing practice. Candidates at this level must bring a blend of functional and technical expertise in Oracle’s EPM Cloud suite, combined with strong project leadership capabilities and client relationship skills. You will be responsible for leading Oracle EPM implementations end-to-end — from solution design through deployment, training, and go-live support — while serving as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders.
Senior Managers will take on broader engagement ownership, business development responsibilities, and deeper practice leadership involvement compared to the Manager level.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Implementation:
- Architect and lead end-to-end Oracle EPM Cloud implementations including Close and Consolidation, Planning and Budgeting, AI Solutions, Account Reconciliations, Enterprise Data Management, Narrative Reporting, and other solutions/modules.
- Oversee all phases of engagements including requirements gathering, solution design, application build, data integration, testing, training, and go-live support.
- Lead design sessions (active participant) in collaboration with Senior Manager and above, translating complex business requirements into scalable EPM solutions.
- Develop and maintain Essbase outlines, business rules, calculation scripts, data load processes, and Smart View configurations.
- Configure and support data integration using FDMEE / Data Exchange, EPM Automate, and REST APIs.
- Estimate level of effort for project tasks and work streams; prepare project plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
Team & Client Leadership:
- Lead and manage project teams of 2–5 consultants, providing clear direction, workload management, and quality oversight across all deliverables.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders and C-suite executives, building trusted relationships through proactive communication and consistent delivery.
- Facilitate client workshops, design sessions, status meetings, and executive readouts.
- Maximize team performance through goal-setting, regular project reviews, and team meetings.
- Support career growth of junior team members through coaching, mentoring, and consistent feedback.
Business Development & Practice Growth:
- Support business development efforts by contributing to demo content, pitch decks, RFP responses, and pricing / fee estimates.
- Identify opportunities to expand engagements and bring additional SC&H capabilities to existing clients.
- Participate in practice leadership initiatives, internal knowledge-sharing, and firm-wide non-billable activities.
- Senior Managers: Lead pursuit efforts, develop go-to-market strategies, and serve as a subject matter expert in the Oracle EPM market.
Qualification Requirements:
Education
- BS/MS in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- CPA, MBA, or Oracle EPM certification is a plus.
Experience
- Manager: 10+ years of hands-on experience implementing Oracle EPM solutions (Hyperion or Oracle EPM Cloud), with commensurate general business and finance expertise.
- Senior Manager: 15+ years of Oracle EPM implementation experience, including demonstrated track record leading large, complex, multi-module engagements.
- Deep functional knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial consolidation and close, account reconciliation, and/or narrative reporting processes.
- Technical proficiency in Essbase (BSO/ASO), Calculation Manager, Smart View, FDMEE/Data Exchange, EPM Automate, and REST APIs; Groovy scripting experience a plus.
- Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud modules: EPBCS, FCCS, ARCS, EDMCS, and/or Narrative Reporting preferred.
- Prior consulting or professional services experience strongly preferred; client-facing finance transformation background a significant advantage.
Skills & Attributes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to and influence C-suite stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a critical eye for process improvement.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements and competing priorities.
- Collaborative team leader who fosters a positive, inclusive project environment and supports professional development.
- Understanding of core financial accounting concepts, including general ledger, financial planning, close & consolidation, and management reporting.
