Job Summary
TYKA is looking for an experienced and skilled Sublimation Printing & Garment Designer to join our Sublimation Department. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in sublimation machine printing, garment/sportswear designing, and CorelDRAW.
The candidate will be responsible for preparing and developing garment designs, operating and coordinating sublimation printing activities, preparing print-ready artwork, and ensuring that printed designs meet the required quality and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and manage sublimation printing machines as per production requirements.
- Prepare designs and layouts for sportswear, T-shirts, jerseys, tracksuits, shorts and other garments.
- Create and modify garment designs according to customer requirements and production specifications.
- Prepare artwork and print files for sublimation printing.
- Have strong working knowledge of CorelDRAW for designing and artwork preparation.
- Develop new designs, patterns, color combinations and garment graphics.
- Check artwork dimensions, placement, colors, sizing and print quality before production.
- Coordinate with the Design, Sampling, Production and Stitching Departments for smooth execution of orders.
- Ensure correct placement of logos, names, numbers, sponsor designs and other graphics on garments.
- Make necessary corrections in designs according to production requirements.
- Maintain proper records of approved designs and print files.
- Monitor print quality and identify issues such as color mismatch, alignment, sizing or printing defects.
- Follow production schedules and complete assigned work within the required timeline.
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance of sublimation printing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and discipline in the printing/designing work area.
- Follow company quality standards and production procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in sublimation printing and garment designing.
- Practical knowledge of sublimation printing machines and printing processes.
- Good knowledge of CorelDRAW is mandatory.
- Experience in garment, sportswear or apparel designing will be preferred.
- Knowledge of garment print placement and production requirements.
- Good understanding of colors, patterns, sizing and print layouts.
- Ability to prepare print-ready files accurately.
- Knowledge of logos, typography, graphics, names and numbers used in sportswear.
- Good attention to detail and ability to identify design/printing errors.
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with production teams.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
Preferred Candidate
Candidates who have experience in sportswear sublimation printing and garment designing will be given preference.
Experience with CorelDRAW, garment graphics, jersey designing, sublimation artwork preparation and production printing will be highly preferred.
