GreenDot Biopak Pvt. We are seeking a skilled Quality Control (QC) Technician to ensure product quality, process consistency, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections of raw materials, films, bags, and finished products.
- Conduct routine quality tests, including thickness, GSM, seal strength, tensile strength, dart impact, COF, and visual inspection.
- Monitor blown film extrusion and bag-making processes to ensure compliance with approved process parameters and quality standards.
- Identify quality defects such as uneven thickness, poor sealing, contamination, pinholes, gel particles, fish eyes, curling, blocking, and printing defects, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Operate and maintain quality testing instruments, including micrometers, thickness gauges, tensile testing machines, dart impact testers, and COF testers.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test results, Certificates of Analysis (COA), and batch documentation.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, GMP, SOPs, customer specifications, and compostable product certification requirements.
- Assist during internal, customer, and certification audits by maintaining accurate documentation.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Process Control, Maintenance, and Dispatch teams to ensure consistent product quality and timely issue resolution.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 1–3 years in Quality Control within flexible packaging, blown film extrusion, bag manufacturing, bioplastics, or compostable film manufacturing.
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Plastics, Polymer, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Flexible packaging and blown film extrusion processes.
- Polymer materials such as PLA, PBAT, LLDPE, LDPE, HDPE, PP, and biodegradable blends.
- Film properties, including thickness, tensile strength, elongation, dart impact, COF, haze, and gloss.
- Bag quality parameters, including seal strength, leak testing, drop testing, and load-bearing performance.
- Understanding of multilayer film structures and bag conversion processes.
- Testing Skills:
- Hands-on experience with thickness gauges, tensile testing machines, dart impact testers, COF testers, and quality inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of visual defect inspection, calibration practices, and quality testing methods.
- Quality Systems: Knowledge of ISO 9001, GMP, SOPs, CAPA, SPC/SQC, inspection records, and quality documentation.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with food-contact packaging requirements, compostability standards (EN 13432, DIN CERTCO), and sustainable packaging regulations will be an added advantage.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and quality reporting systems.
- Personal Skills: Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication with cross-functional teams.
