The C V Raman Global University is looking for a multi-skilled technician to provide diverse technical services to a research project in the area of cryogenic engineering on temporary basis. Because services are necessary on continuous basis for about 3 years, it has been decided to give the assignments to a single person. Because the need will end at the end of the project period no formal post has been created, nor will be created. The following are the details of the engagement.
1. Title of the engagement: Project technician [Temporary]
2. Nature of the engagement: The position is strictly temporary and shall remain valid only during the period explicitly stated in the offer including subsequent extensions if any, and within the tenure of the research project whichever is earlier.
3. Duration: Till 31st March 2027, or end of the project which is earlier. Because project expected to continue beyond 31st March 2027, a second appointment of one year shall be given starting 1st April 2027 subject to satisfactory performance and attendance record. Further engagement is possible on year to year basis, but under no circumstances the engagement will go beyond 31st March 2029,the closing date of project.
4. The engagement is not for any regular activity of the University, nor of the project sponsor and cannot be converted to any regular position.

- Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. Sachindra Kumar Rout, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, CV Raman Global University, Bhubaneswar
- Tenure of Project: 2 Years. (The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project)
- Emoluments : Rs 15,000/- to Rs.20,000/- (Consolidated Pay per month ) depending on qualification, experience and skill in trade test; No allowance such as HRA, is admissible.
- Essential Qualification:
- ITI Certificate in one area of the following list : running machinist, electrician, fitter, refrigeration & air conditioning, welder, preferaly turner or machinist.
- Proficiency in at least one of the remaining trades
- Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- High level proficiency in fundamental workshop skills such as turning, machinist,CNC programming, computer based draftmanship etc .
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Familiarity with cryogenic and vacuum systems
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Helping faculty and students in carrying out research in the field of cryogenic engineering,
- General upkeep of laboratory , and operating and running equipment under guidance of faculty and research students.
Working hours : Monday- Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. including 30 minute lunch break. Holidays and leave as per university rules. Attendance recorded by biometric tools. [ Exact working hours may be amended by the University as per need ]

Candidates will be sent formal invitation to the trade test and discussion by email. **This engagement shall be till 31st March 2027 which will be extended on yearly basis subject to satisfactory performance in each year, till validity of the project period or a total duration of 3 years whichever comes earlier. There is no provision of automatic enhancement of compensation on annual basis. General Information:
- The engagement is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation on termination of the research project.
- The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment/absorption in Funding Agency or in CGU Bhubaneswar.
- The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized ITI or comparable Institution.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing the trade test + discussion.
- Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer.
- No interim enquiries/correspondence/ communication of any sort will be entertained on the matter.
- Canvassing in any form and/ or bringing any influence, political, or otherwise , will be treated as disqualification for the post applied for.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
