Job Description: Solar Technician - Operations & Maintenance (O&M)
Please Note : Having Electrical License is an added advantage.
Position Overview
Seeking experienced professionals for Operations & Maintenance of solar power plants. Responsible for installation, commissioning, monitoring, and maintenance of solar PV systems to ensure optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of solar PV systems
- Perform installation, commissioning, and testing of solar modules and inverters
- Monitor plant performance through SCADA and troubleshoot system failures
- Execute electrical testing (IV curve, insulation, earthing, hot spot detection)
- Handle DC/AC systems, string configurations, and inverter operations
- Diagnose and repair modules, inverters, and electrical components
- Maintain module cleaning schedules and performance optimization
- Ensure safety compliance, use PPE, and follow IEC standards
- Prepare reports, maintain documentation, and coordinate with stakeholders
- Manage spare parts inventory and site surveys
Required Qualifications
Education:
- ITI (Electrician) / Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
Experience:
- Technician Level: 1-5 years in solar O&M
- Experience in rooftop, ground-mount, or utility-scale solar projects
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in solar PV systems, inverters (string/central/micro), and monitoring systems
- Knowledge of grid-connected, off-grid, and hybrid systems
- Hands-on experience with testing equipment (multimeter, clamp meter, IV curve tracer)
- Understanding of electrical wiring, single-line diagrams, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with SCADA, remote monitoring, and data analysis
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
