Role Overview:
We are looking for a Back Office & Process Automation Specialist who can work closely with Operations and Technology teams to identify system/process gaps, reporting errors, manual activities and recurring operational issues, and drive their resolution through system enhancements and automation.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of stock-broking back-office processes and applications, along with the ability to analyse processes, identify improvement opportunities and translate them into practical technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Back Office & System Improvement
o Understand existing back-office processes and applications in depth.
o Identify system gaps, recurring errors, process inefficiencies and reporting/MIS issues.
o Analyse the root cause and coordinate with the Technology team for appropriate fixes or enhancements.
- In-house Project Enhancement:
o Review existing in-house applications/projects and identify areas requiring improvement.
o Monitor implemented changes to ensure they are functioning correctly and meeting business requirements.
o Conduct UAT, validate outputs and track issues through closure.
o Identify manual, repetitive and error-prone activities across departments.
o Evaluate whether these activities can be automated through existing systems, back-office applications, APIs or other technology solutions.
o Drive automation initiatives with the objective of reducing manual intervention, errors and processing time.
- Back Office Optimization:
o Develop thorough knowledge of the organization's back-office system and its capabilities.
o Identify opportunities to utilize existing system functionality more effectively instead of relying on manual processes.
o Work with Technology/Development teams to implement required customizations, integrations and enhancements.
Candidate Requirements:
- 2–5 years of experience in stock broking, capital markets, financial services technology or a similar environment.
- Strong understanding of stock-broking back-office operations and processes.
- Experience working with back-office applications/software is preferred.
- Ability to analyse system/process issues and identify the actual root cause rather than only reporting errors.
- Experience in process automation, system enhancements, UAT or business analysis.
- Strong understanding of MIS, reporting and data validation.
- Good communication and coordination skills to work between Operations and Technology teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Good Excel knowledge is required.
- Knowledge of SQL, APIs, integrations or RPA/automation tools will be an added advantage.

The person should be comfortable understanding both business processes and technology, and should be able to take an issue from identification analysis solution implementation testing closure.
