Below is the breakdown of Roles and Responsibilities (R & R):
1. Daily Operations & Productivity
*Target Achievement: Ensure packing operations align with the production plan (e.g., Gobbles, Layerz, or Swiss Rolls) to meet volume and timeline targets.
*Machine Management: Oversee primary and secondary packaging machines, monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and minimize equipment downtime
*Manpower Allocation: Deploy packing personnel optimally across various lines and shifts to balance workloads and ensure continuous operations.
2. Quality & Compliance
*Food Safety Standards: Ensure packaging materials are sterile, properly sealed, and compliant with FSSAI regulations.
*Weight & Coding Control: Verify that cake weights are accurate and that manufacturing dates, batch numbers, and MRPs are printed clearly on all packages.
*Defect Reduction: Conduct routine line checks to identify and eliminate packing defects, including torn wrappers, missing desiccant sachets, or misaligned labels
3. Inventory & Material Management
*Material Reconciliation: Track packaging materials (pouches, corrugated boxes, tape) issued vs. consumed and minimize scrap and wastage
*Stock Availability: Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure the timely availability of packaging materials so lines do not stop
4. Safety & Hygiene
*5S & GMP Implementation: Maintain a clean, organized packing floor in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and workplace safety protocols.
*Audit Readiness: Ensure the packing department is always prepared for internal hygiene audits and external statutory inspections.
5. Team Leadership
*Training & Development: Train packing operators and helpers on standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and new packaging formats.
*Performance Management: Monitor the daily performance of the packing team, conduct shift meetings, and drive engagement.
6. Reporting
*Shift Handover: Document shift-wise packing output, material wastages, and machine downtime to provide a smooth handover to the incoming shift incharge.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
