Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Pickle Making Technician cum Trainer for our SHG entrepreneurship and livelihood development program in Thana Kalan, Una, Himachal Pradesh. The candidate will be responsible for providing practical training to Self Help Groups (SHGs) and rural women in pickle making, food preservation, hygiene, packaging, and small-scale production techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct practical training sessions on pickle making and food preservation techniques.
- Train SHG members on preparation of different types of pickles using local ingredients and traditional methods.
- Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety practices during production.
- Demonstrate cutting, mixing, preservation, oil and spice balancing, and storage methods.
- Guide participants on packaging, labeling, branding, and shelf-life maintenance.
- Support small-scale production setup and batch management.
- Assist in product quality control and standardization.
- Train participants on costing, pricing, and basic entrepreneurship skills.
- Maintain training records, attendance, and production reports.
- Support market linkage and product promotion activities when required.
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience in pickle making, food processing, or preservation techniques.
- Minimum 1–3 years of practical experience in food production or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of hygiene standards and basic food safety practices.
- Experience working with SHGs, women groups, or livelihood projects preferred.
- Good communication and practical demonstration skills.
