Role description
Reconciliation Senior Analyst Roles and Responsibilities: -
The Senior Analyst acts as a subject matter expert within the team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of custody and cash/ trade data across internal systems through rigorous processes. This role demands a high level of autonomy in handling complex issues, cross-team collaboration, and adherence to strict deadlines and SLAs. The candidate plays a key part in mitigating operational risk, maintaining effective controls, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Take full ownership of assigned portfolios, engaging with internal and external stakeholders including custodians, counterparties, and administrators.
Work on the allocation done by Manager and take up additional responsibilities
Maintain and validate internal transaction records for income, fees, and other relevant activity.
Monitor outstanding items and proactively escalate risk items or persistent breaks.
Support training and act as the first point of escalation for Specialists in BAU activities.
Review and enhance team procedures
Acts with integrity and transparency in all responsibilities.
Embraces feedback, change, and continuous development.
Contribute to documentation and periodic SOP reviews implementing controls and improvements in collaboration with management.
Take ownership of escalations ensuring they are resolved efficiently and escalate high risk issues to TL/Managers immediately.
Guide JA and Analyst by helping them with aged items and High values and mail queries
Handle urgent tasks and escalate immediately
Monitor the mailbox regularly to identify OD, debit interest queries and take immediate action and help Team members.
Suggest and implement process improvement ideas to enhance accuracy.
Complete all the mandatory trainings within the defined timeliness.
Actively participate in cross training across different process and support team coverage.
Participate in Team discussion to strengthen collective knowledge
Conduct initial checks on work quality, reducing errors
Coordinate with custodians to ensure compliance and potential breach within Team.
Actively share knowledge and process update within Team
