As part of our growth strategy, we are expanding our dealer and distributor network across India and are looking for an experienced Sales & Marketing Manager to drive channel sales and market expansion.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and result-oriented Sales & Marketing Manager – Dealer Sales with a strong background in the solar industry and proven experience in developing and managing dealer/distributor networks. The ideal candidate should have established relationships within the solar channel ecosystem and possess the ability to drive revenue growth through strategic channel development.
Key ResponsibilitiesDealer & Distributor Network Development
- Identify, appoint, and manage dealers, distributors, and channel partners across assigned territories.
- Expand the company's market presence through strategic channel partnerships.
- Develop annual and quarterly plans for channel growth and revenue generation.
- Conduct dealer meets, product presentations, and promotional activities.
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Generate new business opportunities through channel partners and direct market engagement.
- Develop sales strategies to increase market penetration in rooftop solar, solar EPC, and renewable energy segments.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
Marketing & Brand Development
- Execute marketing campaigns to strengthen brand visibility.
- Coordinate participation in industry exhibitions, trade fairs, and dealer conferences.
- Develop promotional schemes and channel incentive programs.
- Gather market intelligence and customer feedback for product and business improvement.
Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, EPC contractors, installers, and key customers.
- Resolve channel partner concerns and provide commercial support.
- Conduct regular visits to channel partners and key markets.
Reporting & MIS
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Maintain CRM and sales pipeline records.
- Forecast sales and prepare territory-wise business plans.
Candidate RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA (Marketing) preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in solar industry sales.
- At least 3 years of experience in dealer/distributor network development.
- Experience in selling solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, BOS products, electrical products, or renewable energy solutions.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets through channel sales.
Skills Required
- Strong dealer and distributor network within the solar industry.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Ability to travel extensively across assigned territories.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Existing relationships with solar distributors, EPC companies, installers, and retailers.
- Experience handling pan-India or regional dealer networks.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on business growth.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of working independently.
