Job Summary
The Assistant Engineer – Electrical is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all electrical systems and equipment across the school campus. The role ensures uninterrupted power supply, compliance with safety standards, and timely preventive maintenance to provide a safe and efficient learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
- Monitor and maintain HT/LT panels, transformers, generators, UPS systems, and electrical distribution networks.
- Inspect and maintain lighting systems, power outlets, and electrical fixtures throughout the campus.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure timely resolution with minimal downtime.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for electrical maintenance and repair works.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, statutory requirements, and school policies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment history.
- Support energy conservation initiatives and recommend improvements for efficient power usage.
- Monitor electrical inventory, tools, and spare parts; raise purchase requisitions when required.
- Assist in planning and executing electrical projects, installations, and upgrades.
- Respond promptly to emergency electrical issues and provide on-call support when required.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, security, HVAC, and other facility teams to ensure smooth campus operations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Electrical Supervisor License (where applicable) is preferred.
- Certification in electrical safety practices is an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in educational institutions, hospitals, commercial buildings, or large facilities.
- Experience in handling DG sets, transformers, UPS systems, LT/HT panels, and electrical distribution systems.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and statutory compliance.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, maintenance reporting).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.

Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
