Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Commis II – Indian Curry to assist in the preparation and cooking of Indian curries, gravies, sauces, and accompaniments. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of Indian cooking techniques, spices, and basic kitchen operations, with the ability to maintain consistency during busy service periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Indian curries, gravies, sauces, and accompaniments according to recipes and SOPs
- Prepare base gravies, spice mixes, marinades, and other mise en place
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, portion size, and presentation
- Assist the Chef de Partie and senior kitchen staff during service
- Ensure proper preparation and storage of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the curry section
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
- Monitor ingredient levels and inform seniors of shortages or wastage
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of food products
- Assist with other kitchen duties as required during operations
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an Indian kitchen preferred
- Good knowledge of Indian curries, gravies, and spice combinations
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen
- Good knife skills and basic cooking knowledge
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency
- Strong hygiene, discipline, and teamwork
- Ability to work under pressure during peak service
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a restaurant, hotel, or commercial kitchen
- Culinary training or relevant certification is an advantage
- Experience with both North Indian and regional Indian cuisine is preferred
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced commercial kitchen environment
- Long periods of standing
- Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹14,000.00 per month
