Job Purpose
The Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and delivering high-quality visual communication materials that effectively represent the organization's brand identity. The role involves creating innovative and impactful designs for both digital and print platforms while ensuring consistency in branding, aesthetics, and messaging. The Graphic Designer works closely with various departments to understand design requirements, develop creative concepts, and produce visually compelling content that supports marketing campaigns, employee engagement initiatives, business development activities, and organizational objectives.
Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Creative Design & Visual Communication
- Develop original and creative design concepts based on marketing objectives, campaign requirements, and organizational branding guidelines.
- Design high-quality visual content for digital platforms, including social media posts, website banners, email marketing campaigns, online advertisements, and promotional materials.
- Create attractive print materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, standees, leaflets, banners, invitations, certificates, annual reports, and corporate profiles.
- Design presentation templates, infographics, charts, and visual reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure every design effectively communicates the intended message while maintaining visual appeal and professional quality.
2. Brand Management
- Ensure all creative materials comply with the organization's brand guidelines, including colors, typography, logo usage, layouts, and visual identity.
- Maintain consistency across all communication channels and marketing collateral.
- Support branding initiatives by developing new creative concepts that strengthen the organization's corporate image.
- Periodically review and update branding assets to align with evolving business needs.
3. Digital Content Development
- Design engaging creatives for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other digital channels.
- Create promotional graphics for events, campaigns, awareness programs, recruitment drives, and employee engagement activities.
- Develop website graphics, landing page banners, icons, and digital advertisements.
- Optimize images and graphics for various digital platforms without compromising quality.
4. Print Design & Production
- Prepare artwork suitable for commercial printing by ensuring appropriate dimensions, resolution, bleed, color settings, and file formats.
- Coordinate with printing vendors regarding artwork specifications and production requirements.
- Review print proofs before final production to ensure design accuracy and quality.
- Ensure timely delivery of all print materials within project deadlines.
5. Image Editing & Illustration
- Edit, retouch, restore, and enhance photographs for marketing and corporate communication purposes.
- Create custom illustrations, icons, vector graphics, and visual elements whenever required.
- Remove imperfections and improve image quality using professional editing techniques.
- Maintain an organized repository of images, icons, templates, and design resources.
6. Marketing & Campaign Support
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to understand campaign goals and convert ideas into compelling visual content.
- Design promotional materials for product launches, awareness campaigns, hospital services, health camps, conferences, and community outreach programs.
- Support recruitment campaigns by creating employer branding materials, hiring posters, and job advertisements.
- Assist HR in designing employee engagement materials, newsletters, certificates, appreciation cards, and internal communication creatives.
7. Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with marketing executives, content writers, photographers, videographers, HR, and other departments to gather design requirements.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop innovative creative ideas.
- Present design concepts and incorporate stakeholder feedback effectively.
- Coordinate with external agencies and vendors whenever required.
8. Project Management
- Manage multiple design assignments simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
- Prioritize tasks based on business requirements and project timelines.
- Maintain proper documentation and version control for all creative files.
- Ensure all completed designs are archived systematically for future reference.
9. Software & Technical Responsibilities
- Utilize professional design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Canva, and Figma as applicable.
- Stay updated with the latest design tools, software versions, AI-assisted design technologies, and industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues related to design files and formats.
10. Continuous Improvement
- Research emerging design trends, typography, color palettes, animation techniques, and creative technologies.
- Recommend innovative ideas to improve visual communication and audience engagement.
- Continuously upgrade creative skills through learning and professional development.
