Job Purpose
The Spares Executive is responsible for the efficient management of the automobile spare parts inventory, ensuring optimum stock levels, and facilitating seamless parts distribution to both the internal service workshop and retail customers. The primary objective is to minimize vehicle turnaround time (TAT) while maintaining high inventory accuracy and minimizing dead stock.
Key Performance Areas (KPAs) & Responsibilities1. Inventory Control & Warehouse Management
- Supervise the receiving, unloading, and inspection of all incoming spare parts shipments from the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or authorized distributors.
- Ensure accurate binning and labeling of parts based on sequential codes, part numbers, and fast/slow-moving categories.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification, cycle counts, and reconciliation against the inventory management system.
2. Workshop & Service Support
- Efficiently issue required parts, lubricants, and accessories to technicians against valid job cards to ensure smooth workshop operations.
- Identify and track back-ordered or out-of-stock items, escalating critical shortages to the management for expedited procurement.
- Handle the processing of warranty claims for defective components and manage the storage and return of scrap parts as per OEM guidelines.
3. Front Counter Sales & Customer Relations
- Assist retail walk-in clients and commercial buyers with parts identification, price quotes, and billing.
- Advise customers on product features, compatibility, and availability to maximize counter sales revenue.
4. Administrative Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain up-to-date documentation including Purchase Orders (POs), Delivery Challans, Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), and sales invoices.
- Prepare weekly/monthly inventory reports, tracking critical metrics like dead stock, fast-moving items, and order fulfillment rates.
Candidate Profile & QualificationsEducational Background:
- Minimum Qualifications: ITI Certification, Diploma, or B.Tech (Automobile, Mechanical, or allied technical engineering streams preferred).
Work Experience:
- 0 to 2 Years of experience in warehouse management, inventory control, or retail parts sales.
- Freshers possessing strong technical knowledge of two-wheeler components and an eagerness to learn are highly encouraged to apply.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies:
- Basic understanding of mechanical automotive assemblies, engineering drawings, or parts catalogs.
- Familiarity with inventory management software, Dealer Management Systems (DMS), and core MS Office applications (particularly MS Excel).
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data accuracy and organizational neatness.
- Professional communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
