ABOUT THE ROLE
EstatePilotX is looking for an experienced US Medical Billing professional / SME to join our growing healthcare operations team.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in the US Medical Billing and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) process and be comfortable handling billing operations, claims, payment posting, AR follow-up, denials, appeals, eligibility and insurance-related activities.
This is an opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional to take ownership of processes and contribute to building a high-quality US healthcare operations team.
WHAT YOU WILL DOEnd-to-End Medical Billing & RCM
- Manage accurate patient demographics and registration data.
- Perform medical coding and billing-related activities as per process requirements.
- Prepare and manage electronic and paper claims submission.
- Handle payment posting and reconciliation.
- Conduct insurance eligibility and benefits verification.
- Coordinate prior authorization requirements before treatment/services.
- Perform AR follow-up with US insurance payers on outstanding claims.
- Analyze and work on claim rejections and denials.
- Prepare and coordinate denial appeals and necessary documentation.
- Investigate underpayments, unpaid claims and billing discrepancies.
- Monitor aging accounts and support efforts to reduce outstanding A/R days.
- Maintain accurate documentation of payer interactions and claim status.
- Coordinate effectively with US healthcare providers, patients, billing and coding teams.
- Handle communication through calls, emails and other approved communication channels while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Support the team with process knowledge, issue resolution and SME-level guidance.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in US Medical Billing / RCM.
- Strong knowledge of the US Healthcare Revenue Cycle.
- Practical experience in AR, Denial Management and Claim Follow-up.
- Good understanding of medical billing, claims and payer processes.
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD and HCPCS terminology is preferred.
- Experience with EMR/EHR, billing or practice management systems is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned processes.
- Comfortable working US/night shifts.
- Candidates who can join immediately or within a short notice period are preferred.
COMPENSATION
Experience-Based Salary:
3+ Years’ Experience: ₹20,000 – ₹22,000 per month
Salary may be evaluated based on relevant US Healthcare experience, technical knowledge, SME capability and interview performance.
Experience Verification
Candidates applying under the experienced salary bracket must be able to provide valid employment documentation, including an Experience Letter and Release/Relieving Letter from previous employer(s), as applicable.
