S.R. Oil Speciality Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced Logistics Executive with strong freight bidding and spot-rate negotiation skills to oversee transport operations and cargo allocation at our Sengadu facility. The role involves managing freight bidding portals, negotiating competitive freight rates with vendors and vehicle owners, and ensuring efficient dispatch and fleet operations near Sriperumbudur.
Key Responsibilities
- Freight Bidding & Rate Negotiation: Manage digital transport bidding portals, submit freight bids, and negotiate competitive freight rates with transporters, vehicle owners, and brokers.
- Vendor Allocation: Evaluate bid responses, select cost-effective transport options, and award vehicle movement contracts based on service availability and pricing.
- Fleet & Movement Coordination: Plan daily vehicle dispatch, map routes, and track transport movement to ensure on-time delivery of cargo.
- Driver & Staff Management: Coordinate directly with drivers and transport contractors regarding trip allocations, schedules, and operational requirements.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare, review, and maintain E-Way bills, delivery challans, trip sheets, freight invoices, and dispatch registers.
- Cost Optimization & Vendor Management: Build relationships with transport partners, audit freight bills against bid rates, and identify cost-saving opportunities in transport routes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Graduate or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or any discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in logistics execution, freight bidding, or transport rate negotiation.
- Key Skills: Proven experience with transport bidding processes, freight negotiations, and spot-market vehicle procurement.
- Location Preference: Candidates residing in or around Sriperumbudur, Sengadu, or Kanchipuram district with easy commute access to the facility.
- Technical & Language Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and logistics/ERP platforms. Fluency in Tamil is essential; working knowledge of English or Hindi is beneficial.
