Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Center Head to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our Automobile Vehicle Inspection/Fitness Center. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of light and commercial vehicles along with in-depth understanding of statutory rules and regulations related to vehicle inspection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee complete center operations including vehicle inspection, testing, and certification process
- Ensure compliance with the Motor Vehicles Act and rules made thereunder
- Supervise technical staff and manage day-to-day workshop activities
- Maintain quality standards during inspection, manufacturing, or repair processes
- Coordinate with RTO/government authorities as required for compliance
- Handle documentation, reporting, and record-keeping related to inspections
- Train and guide junior staff/technicians on inspection standards and safety protocols
- Ensure proper maintenance of testing equipment and machinery
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma in Automobile / Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of overall professional experience
- At least 2 years of experience specifically in vehicle inspection, manufacturing, or repair
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an Automobile (Light or Commercial Vehicle) workshop
- Thorough knowledge of the Motor Vehicles Act and rules made thereunder
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
Skills Required:
- Technical knowledge of automobile systems (engine, electrical, mechanical)
- Knowledge of vehicle fitness/inspection norms
- Team handling and operational management
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, reporting software)
