Job Title: Accountant & Financial Analyst

Lunar Wave LLC is a growing performance marketing and e-commerce company operating a portfolio of consumer-facing digital product brands. We are looking for an Accountant & Financial Analyst who can take ownership of day-to-day accounting while helping management understand the company's financial performance through accurate reports and meaningful analysis.
This role is ideal for someone who is strong with numbers, detail-oriented, commercially aware, and capable of converting financial data into clear business insights.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting and compliance :
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and record all financial transactions.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, reimbursements, and expense entries.
- Perform daily and monthly bank, payment gateway, and credit card reconciliations.
- Reconcile transactions across Indian and international bank accounts.
- Maintain supporting bills, invoices, payment records, and other documentation.
- Assist with GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with the company's CA, tax consultants, and external accountants.
- Support monthly and annual book closing and maintain records of company assets, loans, fixed deposits, and financial obligations.
- Identify missing entries, discrepancies, and unusual transactions, and resolve them promptly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial analysis and reporting :
- Prepare monthly profit and loss statements,
- cash-flow reports, and balance-sheet summaries.
- Track revenue, advertising spend, operating expenses, and net profit.
- Prepare profitability reports by product, brand, store, media buyer, and business division.
- Compare actual performance against budgets, forecasts, and previous periods.
- Monitor margins, cost trends, cash requirements, and working capital.
- Create weekly and monthly financial dashboards for management.
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
- Identify unnecessary expenses, financial leakages, and opportunities to improve profitability.
- Analyse the financial impact of new products, campaigns, hiring decisions, and business investments.
- Present findings to management in a clear, concise, and practical manner.
Required skills :
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Experience with Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.
- Ability to reconcile large volumes of transactions accurately.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail, sound judgement, and respect for confidentiality.
- Good written and verbal communication, organisation, and time management.
Preferred qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or a fast-growing company.
- Exposure to payment gateways, international transactions, or multiple business entities.
- Familiarity with Shopify, Meta advertising data, or digital business reporting.
- Experience building automated dashboards and management reports.
- Knowledge of Indian taxation; basic exposure to US accounting is an advantage.
