Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Interior Draftsperson to join our team in Kozhikode. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in preparing comprehensive interior working drawings and coordinating with designers, architects, and site teams. This role requires the ability to handle multiple projects, ensure drawing accuracy, and support the successful execution of interior projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review detailed interior working drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop complete drawing sets including furniture layouts, electrical layouts, ceiling plans, joinery details, and interior detailing drawings.
- Coordinate closely with interior designers, architects, consultants, and site teams to ensure accuracy and clarity in drawings.
- Review and guide junior draftspersons and ensure adherence to company drafting standards.
- Update and revise drawings based on design changes and site requirements.
- Ensure timely submission of drawings and maintain project documentation.
- Verify drawings for accuracy, dimensions, and feasibility before site execution.
- Assist in preparing presentation and concept drawings when required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Interior Draftsperson.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
- Good understanding of interior detailing, materials, and execution processes.
- Experience handling residential and commercial interior projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an architecture or interior design firm.
- Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or other 3D visualization tools is an added advantage.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior drafting staff.
- Familiarity with local standards and drawing documentation practices.
