About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Account Executive to join our India office. In this role, you will manage bookkeeping for a portfolio of Canadian business clients and handle accounts payable and payroll functions end-to-end. This is a hands-on, client-facing role best suited to someone with strong QuickBooks Online experience and working knowledge of Canadian accounting and payroll requirements.
What You Will Do
Bookkeeping
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for assigned client portfolios using QuickBooks Online and Dext
- Record transactions, categorize bank feeds, and post journal entries accurately
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
- Perform bank, credit card, and inter-company reconciliations
- Coordinate with clients to collect documents and resolve queries
- Support preparation of GST/HST returns, T4/T5 slips, and corporate tax filings
Accounts Payable & Payroll
- Process vendor invoices, manage AP aging, and execute payment runs
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for client employee rosters
- Submit payroll remittances (PD7A), WSIB filings, and related statutory payments
- Maintain employee records in compliance with CRA requirements
- Prepare Records of Employment (ROEs) and complete year-end payroll reconciliations
What We Are Looking For
- 4–7 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally in a public accounting or outsourced bookkeeping environment
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required; Dext experience is a strong asset
- Working knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and CRA compliance
- Hands-on experience with Canadian payroll, PD7A remittances, WSIB filings, and ROE processing
- Strong Excel skills; experience with Karbon, a workflow tool, is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple client files simultaneously with high attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- CA Inter, B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent accounting qualification
