Job Summary:
HYDGEN, a fast-growing deep-tech startup revolutionizing green hydrogen production with modular electrolyzer systems, is seeking a Lead Talent Partner to build and scale high-performing teams.
As a key member of the People function, you will act as a strategic talent leader partnering with founders, engineering, R&D, manufacturing, and business leaders to attract, hire, and retain exceptional talent in a competitive deeptech and cleantech market. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic startup environment and is passionate about building teams that accelerate the green energy transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead full-cycle talent acquisition for critical and senior-level roles across Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations.
- Partner with business leaders to understand hiring needs, create workforce plans, and develop talent strategies aligned with HYDGENs aggressive growth goals.
- Build and maintain robust talent pipelines using proactive sourcing, networking, campus hiring, and industry events.
- Drive employer branding initiatives to position HYDGEN as a top employer in green hydrogen and cleantech space.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment process from job profiling and sourcing to offer negotiation and closing.
- Provide market intelligence on talent trends, compensation benchmarks, and competitor hiring strategies in deeptech/energy sector.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practices.
- Track and optimize key talent metrics (Time-to-Hire, Quality of Hire, Offer Acceptance Rate, Pipeline Strength).
- Support onboarding, employee engagement, and early talent experience for new hires
- Mentor junior recruiters/talent partners.
Requirements:
- 4 - 7 years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, with at least 23 years in a Lead / Senior Talent Partner role.
- Proven track record of hiring senior technical talent (Engineers, Scientists, R&D, Manufacturing) in deeptech, cleantech, semiconductors, energy, or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong experience in fast-scaling startups or high-growth companies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence at all levels, including C-suite and founders.
- Deep knowledge of talent market in India (especially Bengaluru, Karnataka) and global markets
- Proficiency with ATS (Lever, Greenhouse, Workday, etc.), LinkedIn Recruiter, and advanced sourcing techniques.
- Passion for sustainability and green energy is a strong plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors / Masters degree in HR, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Prior experience in Hydrogen, Renewable Energy, Battery Tech, or Semiconductor industries
- Hands-on experience building talent teams from scratch in early-stage startups.
- Exposure to international hiring (Singapore, Europe, Middle East)
- Certification in Talent Acquisition or HR
