Key Responsibilities & Duties1. Design & Development Support
- Assist senior engineers in creating 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or Creo).
- Incorporate Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles under supervision.
- Help maintain and update the Bill of Materials (BOM) for new products.
2. Prototyping & Testing
- Coordinate with the workshop or tool room to develop product prototypes and samples.
- Conduct physical, mechanical, or functional testing of prototypes to validate design specifications.
- Document test results, analyze failures, and suggest basic design modifications.
3. Documentation & Process Compliance
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including engineering change notes (ECN), product specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Learn and follow Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) guidelines.
4. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with the Quality, Production, and Sourcing teams to ensure smooth transition from prototype to mass production.
- Assist in coordinating with vendors for raw material samples and tooling components.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering (or a relevant science degree depending on the industry, like Food Tech for FMCG).
- Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of 3D CAD modeling software.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and materials.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data tracking and presentations.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- High curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies and processes.
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
