Position Summary
We are looking for experienced Project Engineers to support the execution of HVAC and Cleanroom projects from manufacturing coordination through site installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
The Project Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day site execution, technical coordination, manpower coordination, material planning, quality control and progress reporting.
The candidate should be willing to work at pharmaceutical project sites and coordinate closely with customers, consultants, subcontractors and internal factory teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Execution
- Execute HVAC and Cleanroom projects as per approved drawings, specifications and project schedules.
- Coordinate day-to-day site activities with the Project Manager.
- Plan daily and weekly site activities and monitor progress.
- Ensure work is completed within the agreed project schedule.
- Identify site issues and coordinate with the Project Manager for timely resolution.
2. HVAC Installation
Supervise and coordinate installation of:
- AHUs
- HVAC equipment
- Ducting systems
- Supply and return air systems
- Air Control products
- Air Distribution products
- Dampers
- Grilles and diffusers
- HEPA filter housings
- Cleanroom HVAC systems
- HVAC-related mechanical services
Ensure installation is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
3. Cleanroom Installation
Coordinate and supervise installation of:
- Cleanroom partitions
- Cleanroom doors
- Ceiling systems
- Cleanroom accessories
- HVAC interfaces
- HEPA filtration systems
- Air distribution systems
- Ensure proper coordination between HVAC, cleanroom and other MEP works.
4. Drawing & Technical Coordination
- Read and interpret HVAC, ducting and cleanroom drawings.
- Coordinate with the Design/Engineering team for technical clarifications.
- Identify drawing discrepancies and site constraints.
- Prepare site measurements and requirements.
- Coordinate drawing revisions and site changes with the Project Manager.
- Ensure only approved drawings are used for execution.
5. Site Material Management
- Prepare material requirements based on site progress.
- Coordinate with the factory, stores and logistics teams for timely material delivery.
- Verify received materials against approved specifications and quantity.
- Monitor material consumption at site.
- Minimize material wastage and damage.
- Maintain proper material records.
6. Manpower & Subcontractor Coordination
- Coordinate HVAC installation teams and subcontractors.
- Allocate daily work activities.
- Monitor manpower productivity.
- Ensure adequate manpower is available as per project requirements.
- Coordinate with subcontractors for work sequencing and completion.
- Monitor workmanship and productivity.
7. Pharmaceutical / Cleanroom Requirements
The candidate should understand basic requirements of pharmaceutical HVAC and cleanroom projects, including:
- Cleanroom classifications
- Temperature and humidity control
- Differential pressure
- Air changes
- HEPA filtration
- Airflow requirements
- Pressure cascade
- Cleanroom zoning
- HVAC air balancing
- Experience in pharmaceutical projects will be an advantage.
8. Testing & Commissioning
Assist and coordinate testing and commissioning activities, including:
- Airflow measurements
- Air balancing
- Temperature and humidity checks
- Differential pressure checks
- HVAC equipment performance checks
- HEPA-related testing
- Cleanroom performance checks
- Coordinate with testing and commissioning agencies and prepare required reports.
9. Quality & Safety
- Ensure work is executed according to approved specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspection of installation work.
- Identify and rectify installation defects.
- Coordinate inspections with customers and consultants.
- Follow site safety requirements and ensure subcontractors comply with safety procedures.
- Maintain good housekeeping at the project site.
10. Customer & Consultant Coordination
- Coordinate with customer representatives and consultants at site.
- Attend site meetings as required.
- Clarify technical and execution-related issues.
- Record site instructions and communicate them to the Project Manager.
- Ensure customer/consultant comments are closed within agreed timelines.
11. Project Documentation
Maintain and submit:
- Daily progress reports
- Weekly progress reports
- Site measurement reports
- Material requirement reports
- Inspection requests
- Site inspection reports
- Work completion reports
- Test reports
- Installation checklists
- As-built information
- Punch-point closure reports
Project handover documentation
Required Qualification
Education:
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- HVAC / Refrigeration & Air Conditioning background preferred.
Experience:
- 4–10 years of experience in HVAC project execution.
- Experience in pharmaceutical HVAC / cleanroom projects preferred.
- Experience in AHU, ducting, air distribution and HVAC installation will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹420,000.00 - ₹540,000.00 per year
