Job Summary:
inGO is looking for a Mechanical Engineer as a Core team member in the development cycle of the product design for its Electric Vehicles. Core areas of focus would include Design, Simulation, DFM, Manufacturing support, Engineering drawings and Quality planning.
Working closely with the founding team and senior engineers, you will embody our collaborative, supportive and innovative culture. Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical components around our power train including component selection, sizing, and packaging.
- Closely monitor/manage Sub Teams and maintain Project reports with Milestones
- Perform simulations and analyses to optimize the design for performance, efficiency, and durability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the powertrain meets all system requirements, including vehicle performance, emissions, and safety.
- Prototype and test the vehicle, both in the laboratory and on the road, to validate its performance and durability.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of components and subsystems, and to resolve any technical issues.
- Develop and maintain accurate documentation of the entire system, including schematics, BOMs, and testing results.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the electric vehicle domain.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical with > 2 years in a relevant industry.
- Prior Automotive knowledge a big plus. Well versed with CAD , CAM
- Strong knowledge of transmission systems, Vehicle Dynamics, system design, simulation and Fatigue analysis.
- Familiarity with simulation and analysis tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, and ANSYS.
- Should have hands-on know-how of GD&T and Engineering drawings
- Experience of working with vendors for fabrication & considerations for manufacturing
- Should have understanding on various manufacturing methods like sheet metal, pipe-work, welding, machining etc.
- Must have a flair for innovation and working around the normal to build great systems & products
- Previous student experience with FSAE/BAJA teams’ is a HUGE PLUS
- Excellent communication, analytical and reasoning skills, both verbal and written.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
